Hi,

I’m super excited to announce that I’m running ‘pop-up’ glass fusing workshops, for adults and children, in Shrewsbury Town Centre during the last week in October – half term week.

I will transform a unit in The Darwin Shopping Centre, into a pop-up studio. With parking and all the shopping centre facilities close at hand, it couldn’t be more convenient.

We will have room to social distance – something which is just not possible at my cosy home studio, where I can only run workshops for’social bubbles’ at the moment.

I’ll still have everything you’ll need; tools, equipment and, of course, oodles of colourful glass, to make your own unique & fabulous fused glass.

Adult Workshops are on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and you can choose from two free-standing glass forms for your gorgeous glass.

I will teach you how to cut & handle glass safely, alongside the basic principles of glass fusing.

You will create your fab artwork, which I’ll take, very carefully, back to my studio for firing (fusing & slumping into shape).

  • Everything is included and all the details are here.
  • Suitable for complete beginners and those who have tried fusing before.
  • Adults age 16 and above
    • or from 12 if accompanied by a paying adult.

Workshops for the youngsters will be on Wednesday and Friday, and there are 4 sessions each day to choose from.

Children will create a glass picture tile 10cms sq with a little hanging loop attached. The picture can be absolutely anything, though in halloween week I am hoping for some ghostly art and ghoulish images.

  • As always everything is included and details are here.
  • Drop-in possible, though pre-booking is advised as demand can be high.
  • Minimum age is 7 – however, younger is possible so contact me first.
  • Must be accompanied by an adult/carer to help – max 4 children to 1 adult.

I’m looking forward to this as who knows where it will lead and I hope you’ll join me at a workshop.

In between workshops and on Monday 26th you can just drop-in to say hello and browse some of my own work which will be on display. Great chance for a catch up I’d say.
